What in the world is going on with my brake fluid?

What in the world is going on with my brake fluid?
I have a 2001 with the larger ABS reservoir. I changed the brake fluid last week and used my usual Castrol fluid (not synthetic). Just to make sure I checked the fluid level in the tank a few times and no issues. Today I looked and it was up almost 1/8 inch. It took 3-4 times with the turkey baster to lower the level back down. Any ideas where I got the extra fluid? The only thing I can think of is that it was close to 40 degrees but I cannot believe fluid would expand that muh - especially since it should decrease with lower temps

What exactly is the accumulator? I suspected that something was holding it but I have done the fluid change before with no issues? How do you avoid this or how do you change the brake fluid so this doesn't happen? I used a modified Motive bleeder since I have the large reservoir. I drained the fluid with the baster and refilled which shouldn't let air in since the reservoir has a screen to prevent getting all the old fluid out. The modified Motive uses the Motive pressure pump to push the fluid through but the fluid is in the reservoir not the Motive. I used the same attachment as GSGALLANT and ran it at 15 psi.

The only other possibility I can think of would be if the rears weren't adjusted tight enough and after using the power bleeder, the return springs retracted the rear cylinders causing some fluid to be returned to the master cyl. In any case it is nothing to worry about and 2 secs with a turkey baster to fix.

Grrrr... After driving yesterday the level was down (due to me removing some) so I topped it off. This am it was up 1/8 inch again. I am wondering if this is not normal. Maybe there is some sort of backfilling that occurs if it sits for a few hours.
