What are the limits of mostly stock Toyotas???

I've always kind of wondered what the stock suspension can take on our toyotas. I am always afraid of destroying something by trying to show off and climb a snow pile in the parking lot, or taking a dip too fast (hit one at 45mph and one of my spark plugs wires came off). I have seen some people here and heard stories elsewhere from people (not necessarily yota owners) and how they got a foot or two off the ground on a basically stock truck. So what is reasonable "abuse" that our trucks can take without having to worry about breakage?

i think the stock suspension is pretty tough. i've jumped mine a few times, getting up to around 3 feet of air and no problems. i'm not gonna push it tho, i don't want to jump again.

Oh what about tilt? What is a safe angle? 30* max or what?

...whatever you say

I say if you're hitting the bumpstops, you're probably going beyond what your suspension was designed for, and should upgrade.

The inclinde performance all depends on the truck, the driver, the tires, the terrain etc. Just take it slow and you'll begin to realize the limits of the truck.

I ran over a curb at about 20 mph lol. Thats about as ballsy as Ive gotten. I dont think I have to worry about my truck hitting the bumpstops. My lower arms would shear off before my 882's compressed that much.

That is a hard question to answer...I could take my stock rig against another stock rig...Do the same thing and you will never see the same result in either vehicle. If you are hitting bump stops, you have max out the suspension...Granted Toyota makes a great IFS, it can only take so much. I have wheeled mine a couple times and everything is going great! I am not sure where I am going with this, however, just remember, stock is stock

I was behind my brother when he jumped his truck probably 3 ft in the air, maybe 4 in the back(i could be off, im bad at judging, but it was HIGH). Scary to watch, and yet so awsome. It didnt have any problems cause of that, but he only did it once.
