What do you think about this?

Well I have came to a few decisions for my exhaust from reading other posts..

A magnaflow muffler.. 2.25".. 14" long.. stainless steel.. usually $100+ but on ebay $80 free shipping...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33636

then a Magnaflow carsound cat.. 2.25"..
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...sPageName=WD1V

How do those two look... and then I would get custom 2.25" tubing..

Thanks Ian

Be sure you've considered these:

Pipe instead of cat - Never gets plugged, so it runs cooler (no grass fires!), increases milage, increases power, it's an '86 so there aren't any O2 sensors. Oh, and cheaper.

Supertrapp muffler - You can tune it in a matter of minutes to give more torque or high end power, or to give a different sound.

Hmm so your saying have no cat at all, and just the pipe? This is my DD so how loud would that be without the cat? And it would add more power and better mileage?

Nevermind about removing the cat... looked it up and doesn't seem like the greatest idea hah so I'll probably stick with the Magnaflow carsound cat... anyone have any experience with that? And what about the muffler that I am looking at?

Good call on keeping the cat. They're federally required.

You will miss the cat when your idling on a trail and every one is complaining about the raw fuel smell if you take it off. Are you loking for a quiet muffler or just performance?

Magnaflow is good as well as dynomax.
here is a little info a copied off another site for your reading pleasure.

If I remember right I picked these off a corvett or mustang forum so think v8 for the tests. Im not sure what model of "Blowmaster" thay are using but I have both a "Blowmaster 40 series" and a "Dynomax ultraflow SS" (identical to magnaflow design) and I can tell you for sure that the ultraflow is quieter, smoother and less restrictive. The staright through designs do get loud when you mash the loud pedal but thats expected. The Blowmaster was much louder.

Food for Thought....
