How did it end up?

I'd be pissed if that was one of my boards on top. That's probably the real reason the camera man says holy shizzle.

Holy cow did you see that huge drop-off he would have flown off if he hadn't made that recovery? That could have been gnarly.. and I woulda been pulling over to clean out my shorts..he just grabs a gear and keeps on going!
The first guy.... broadsliding in wet sand.... great idea

One problem, even the guy in the BMW would flip the toy I am afraid. Not because it it a toy but because of the soft wet sand under him....that BMW had nice hard solid dirt/grass....

I doubt it, the guy in the toy should have steering into the turn and gassed it. That would have gotten him out of the topple.

Besides the guy in the BMW is a pro rally driver, they have reflexes like a cat. And enough experience to know what to do. If you see the guys do the Paris Dakar you'll know what I'm talking about.

Now that was one piece of driving. I wonder how many times he has practiced that...

Wow big time save on the other clip, but as far as the first one I thought during a hydroplane it is almost nearly impossible to control? Correct me if I am wrong, I do know that the sand is a factor but anytime water is more than 1/4" deep I've been told once the tires start floating then traction is nearly nonexistant?

Did you see the sweet skid plate on that BMW. He's not getting hung up on anything with that full underbody armor. I agree that the 4Runner driver was inexperienced in handling a sliding vehicle. Hope he had his seatbelt on!

He had enough traction to flip the vehicle
If you hydroplane the vehicle will keep sliding and even then you need to position the wheels correctly so when they do catch you move out of the slide. Almost opposite lock and a bit of gas, would have saved him.

The BMW is just an extreme example of how to save a slide gone completely bad. I thought it was a goner for sure. I have driven with these rally types and all I can say I dont have the nuts to do what they do. I prefer my wheels on the ground at speed, thank you. Give me a track anyday.

Yeah, I noticed it right off the bat as I am still wanting one for my runner.

First off, the driver of the 4Runner drives worse than my mom.

Secondly, how did the driver of the BMW pull that off? That was sick.

Anyone know the guy in the runner? I need some parts, off of his truck. He wont be needing his fender flares anymore. And hopefully his nice clear headlamps survived, I want thoes too. as for the BMW guy, his driving was awsome, thats some real professional work. But then again thoes Darkar ralley guys have had thier share of gut wrenching crashes. So Im sure that the driver could really care that much, if he fliped, they just roll him on top again, and he be on his way.
