Truck Selling Tips Wanted (Please)
I made the decision to sell my beloved truck (avatar) and I want some tips from you folks experienced and selling/buying from private parties. Here's the basics:
'89 Regular Cab 22RE 5 speed 4x4, almost 160k miles,
4" Trailmaster lift, 2" body lift, new 32x11.5x15 Bridgestone Dueler A/T, headers, flowmaster exhaust, roll cage, Panasonic CD player.
Work done: I can't remember everything the previous owner did but I know he replaced the radiatior and rebuilt the tranny. I put in a new OEM alternator in last summer (less than 3k miles).
Now here's the question... The truck needs new rotors. Would it be best to try to get the brakes done before I sell it or sell it for less and leave it?
Any selling advice is appreciated. Is anyone interested? I live in San Luis Obispo.
Thank you.

Woops, couple more things. The truck has some scratches and small dings. There is some minor surface rust in a few spots. What do you guys think I can get for it? Thanks again.

Sell it on autotrader and then find someway to put your info on a personal website that is linked to the ad.
Jack up the price a bit so you got room to barter.
Be up front and honest with anyone that calls to ask questions, but don't put negative things in the ad on autotrader, only positive.
I sold my 2000 in about 2-3 months and got what I wanted. Give them a bill of sale and notorize it if you can or have some witnesses sign it, and don't turn over the rig until you have the money in your account and it is cleared. Get cash or a cashier's check and then verify that it is good before you turn over the rig.
Good luck as that is a nice rig.
