Transfer case frt oil seal
this is a long shot...1994 Toyota pickup 4x4 4cyl. trying to buy the oil seal the parts store has 5 in stock but cant tell me which one i need...they said thier is a code stamped on the axle that should reference this???? thier is no such code...really dont want to pay dealer prices, does anyone have a clue?

the only way that your going to get the right one is to pull the t-case and take the seal in with you or go to the dealer, the "axle code" that they are referring to may be the transmission code which in your case would be a w56 if I'm not mistaken...

I take it you mean the front output seal? There is no front input seal. If so, the Toyota p/n is 90311-38016, perhaps your parts guys can cross-reference that. There are actually two seals in there, one is a standard rubber lip seal, the other is a felt dust shield. The p/n I have is for the rubber seal.
