I really like the new FJs, and I'm really surprised that the Jeep Willys concept looks pretty much identical to the FJ! I mean the only difference I can see in the picture is the grill. I think they both look really cool, and I would definitely get one. My only concern with the FJ (and the Willys for that matter, besides the fact that it's a Jeep ) is the windows. Is it just me or do the windows on it look very skinny? Other than that, I really like it Let's just hope that Toyota can price them reasonably Then I think they would be able to compete with Nissan (Nissan is pretty much the only company with an SUV priced around $20k-$25k) So if they price it right, and make it a great truck, then I'll be trading in my Xterra for one

That FJ is bad a$$. Of course I would pick toyota over jeep any day, but I thinkt that the Fj looks a lot better thatn the jeep and I didn't notice any built in winches on the "willys" concept...

I like it, but I want a new FJ like the old - i.e. no hardtop. I wish Toyota would get off their a$$ and stop building SUVs for every price range and build something to compete with the Jeep Wrangler. A simple and capable design that is RELIABLE. Think of all the money they would make. Jeep sells tons of wranglers because there is no competition. Imagine if people had a choice with a Toyota model? I would be all over one as a Jeep is my dream vehicle, if it wasn’t a Jeep.

Toyota considers the Tacoma it's direct competition vehicle with the Wrangler. According to all the Magazine reviews, the Tacoma usually wins. The rear locker puts it over the top.
As long as they keep winning the awards from the Auto Mags.............................................. ..
Nothing will change. IFS is here to stay. The Wrangler will get it sooner or later.

Comparing the Tacoma and the Wrangler is comparing apples and oranges. You can't make a direct comparison between a pickup truck and a jeep...they're not even the same type of vehicle.

20 Inch rims though.
20 inch rims in a 33x12.50, not a bad idea, but there isn't anything available in that size and if it were it would cost about a billion dollars for a set.

that jeep willys looks like it has 24s!!!! but yeah... i think i'd rather buy toyota's RSC concept vehicle (the offroad coupe) and a 4th gen for my SUV. Too bad the RSC will probably never happen. It does however look like honda's concept offroad coupe. I don't know why i'd buy it (it is rather ugly), i just would. Actually nevermind, i'd still rather buy "an adventure in luxury". You'll know if you've scene the commercial. *coughs GX coughs*

I have to say that I don't like that at all either. It's too boxy and the windows are too small. It looks like one of those ugly euro vehicles. I do love the features of it though, some very cool stuff there. If it came down to it (and I don't know why it would) I would take the Willys concept over it. The biggest problem I have with the Willys is the extremely small amount of horsepower and the fact that it can't go over 60 or 65 mph.

It would take a little getting used to it for me. It seems like once someone in the auto biz comes up with an idea no matter how strange, everyone else decides that must be the next thing and they all copy it.
I agree that the windows look awfully small. Maybe they look smaller than they are, but it doesn't seem like the driver would sit high enough to see anything close to the front unless the top of your head is above the door opening. Maybe you have to duck under to get in and out. Visibility out back doesn't look too hot either. Of course, there is probably a video camera or cameras lurking in there somewhere to help see things.

heh i was just lookin at it and it looks kinda like a lego car... if you compare the size of the window to the size of the 33 inch tires, it appers that the windows are almost 20 inches tall, that doesnt seem too bad? i dont usually like the looks of concept cars, this one i do think looks very cool though, the features help too. kinda like a girls personality can help make up for her bad looks
