Towing hitch wiring harness extension...?

None of the trailers I use have a long enough wiring harness to plug into the oem socket. Where can I get a little 6" to 12" extension to carry around in the runner?

Your best bet may be to get another trailer harness with longer wires from a RV or auto parts store and cut the old wiring off and splice the new harness in. OR you could just splice in some wire to extend your existing harness.

parts stores usually carry extensions... check in the trialer section, they should have like a 12" extension that is just a plug in and go fix.

Nice, that's what I want. I didn't want to permanently extend the harness, I like how the OEM is cleanly tucked away and not hanging out.

I don't remember the part #, but Sportsmans Guide did advertise a 7 to 4 adapter with a coil cord line which should work for you.

yes, but you will have to heavily modify it...

I think that their frame rails are a little bit wider than what's on the Taco. But there is only one way to find out. Borrow it and test fit it.

It's pretty simple to make your own from a trailer wiring kit, butt splices (or solder) and shrink tubing or electrical tape.
