Tire size help for 16x10 welds????

Im gonna pic up some rims for my 97 4runner 2wd auto 3.4L . The rims are weld racing 16x10's But they need new tires. So Im on a quest to find the proper fit tires. I dont want to go to big in the sizes though. Currently I have a Revtek/ bilisten setup in the front and in the rear I have a Downey 3.5 HD coil with bilistens. Im also in the process ordering Roger Brown's 2 inch body lift. Im not to aware to the offest though. All I know is that the brake caliper sitcks out most of the rim. Does any one know the proper tire size I can use to fit the rims. If so please help me out.

Find out the exact offset first and then we can help. It sounds like no matter what the tires will stick out and most likely not be able to tuck into the fenders on compression with that 10" wide rim. With RB's BL and your current lift, you might be able to fit 305/70/16's...

I dont care if they stick out that much. My homeboy told me I can strech my 265/70/16 BFG TA kos onto thoes rims, anyone ever tired this? But im looking for a tire that is gonna strech on for a fairly cheap price. 4wheel parts told me I need a SSR and its gonna cost $174, kinda similar in price to the BFGs here in hawaii.

I wouldn't try to stretch a 265 over a 10" rim. Stock rims are 7" wide, the 265's are intended for about that maybe 8" max. If you go wider the sidewall of the tires will be rolling on the street. You really need to get new tires, especially with almost 5" of lift! (after RB 2")

yeah, that is true. I do need larger tires. What would be the recomened size to run on the 16x10 though. Im kinda on a buget. I'll be paying for the body lift, install (cheap), rims, and new tires all at the same time. I just bought my current set of rims no more than 4 months ago, and I want to get rid of them for the new setup. Because after this lift, Im done acording to the girlfriend. (hahaha yeah right), thanks for the help though

Like I said, the 305/70/16 would be ideal probably, but maybe a 285/75/16 would fit also. I doubt if the price is much different though. You should do the BL yourself and save the $$$ for better tires. It is really simple (really) to do in about two hours or less at home with very basic tools.

Im only paying like $50 to do the body lift. He said the present tires on the rims are 30.5x10.5 or somthing of that sort. so I hope it fits as is. Other wise Im gonna have to buy some new tires.
