Thanks,

From this page - click toyota at top and go to the third page

I doubt it will help you because it's a dealer coupon and not a "toyota" coupon

He got the crank bolt out with a small ($500) Matco gun, and he didn't even have to take the radiator out.
Yep, that crank bolt is the toughest part of the entire job. Air tools make disassembly alot easier (my Ingersoll Rand 2131 zips it off in 2 secs), but the big issue is that if you don't get the bolt torqued properly (must be at least 217 ft-lbs!) when you reinstall everything you can have some serious problems after.

A timing belt change (without doing the water pump, just includes the belt for parts ciost) should be about $250-300 (closer to $450-500 including the W/P, just the belt and W/P for parts cost). If you need a tensioner, idler or cam/crank seals those parts will add to the cost of the job.

No, those would be USD......prices will also vary depending on the area and local competition.

tb and wp

my pump was leaking and my 98 had 145km on it. it was cold and so with xmas travelling coming up i didn't want to get stranded. the stealer charged me $690.00 cdn total, taxes enviro and fluids. stiff enough i know but all in all a good experience. the reason i used the stealership is because i wanted to maintain the value of my truck in the event of someone elses bad driving crashing me up or in 3 yrs when i sell to buy an fj crusier. good value with yoda's and oem parts.
