Ok, I just got my 3.4 for my swap, and the throttle body needs adjustment. When I turn the piece that the throttle cable attaches to, it spins about 1/4 of a turn before I can feel it come into contact with the piece that it pushes against to open the butterfly. Therefore, at wide open throttle, the butterfly is not fully open, yet I can reach my finger into the throttle body and push the butterfly fully open. To me this seems like it is just an adjustment to turn the piece that contacts the piece to open the butterfly, so that it sits against it, or slightly above it allowing a tiny bit of play. How do I resolve this?

If it is an 03/04 engine, it has a "throttle by wire" throttle body on it and that is exactly how it should be. What year is the engine? Does the throttle body have a plastic bellcrank on it and look like this:

If it does, it is the new throttle by wire system.

Yeah, the motor is from a 2003 V6 Tundra, and yes that is what it looks like. How do I fix that?

You don't! That is the way it is supposed to operate. Just make damn sure you have the ECU for that particular engine or the system will not operate. Put your truck together and try it---You will see that it works fine unless it happens to be damaged. From what you described, yours is OK. That throttle body is computer controlled and is opened by a motor controlled by the ECU. It still has a throttle cable on it but that is only on there to get you home in "LIMP" mode in case the Throttle by wire system fails. If you turn the bell crank you will see that the throttle plate only opens about 20%. That is the way it should be. Trust me----
