I actually had a bad ECM in a chevy that just kept the lights on inside with all the doors closed and would say the right rear door was open, it just ended up being the ECM was internally shorted for that one input and thats all it did, no other signs.
Also, is the knock sensor installed all the way, I have seen some that the bolt is cross threaded so the knock sensor is not seated all the way and it throws a code also if the area that the sensor sits on is dirty.

Hey James I appreciate the reply. Well I Cleaned everything really good while I was in there and I removed and reinstalled both KS so I'm sure they are seated all the way and there was no cross threading. But I am surprised to hear about your ECM issue. That proves that a bad ECM "can" sometimes only affect only a small portion. I just asumed if I had a bad ECM I would have other things going crazy.

Well like Mt Goat said, check the wires first, just unplug the input to the ECM and Ohm check it from the ECM to the knock sensor it shouldnt be very much, if it is, then thats the problem. I didnt know what motor and trans you have so I just got one for a 4 cylinder with a manual.

Also, I think that if the knock sensor is detecting a knock and it changes timing and still has the knock, it does then trigger the code for the knock sensor.

Thanks man. That really helps. I really need to find out about what u said about the sensor changing the timing for knock and if it still has knock throwing the code. I want to be sure I'm even chasing the right trouble. U would think if I had a knock that bad I would hear something and I don't. It's as quiet as can be.

After I installed my supercharger I heard some knocking before I got my tuning done. It never threw a knock sensor CEL.

Interesting. I'm going to retest my wiring tomorrow night. If I can't figure it out I'm going to have to break down and take it to the stealer.

Well..... I have retested my wiring, replaced the ECM and still have the same problem. Any suggestions before I pull the cel and forget it.
