Well, don't put me down on the list yet, because I don't know how serious I am. But I'm definitely considering it.
BTW, don't even bother with spending the 250.00 bucks on a TRD transmission cooler, you can buy a comparable Hayden tranny cooler for 50 dollars, which is what my self and numerous other have done. Word is Hayden makes them for TRD anyways. You'll save 200 bucks right there.

I knew that TOR worked at a dealer, and I think he'd stated here that their cost was $2200. So, I'm _sure_ that his boss would be happy to get a batch of S/C's for $500 less than that.

ok I picked up some lexus parts for my rig today, and the guy had factory liscence plates on his sienna. I asked him if he worked for toyota, and he said yeah he works for the national service division. Anyway we got to talking, turns out that the president of national sales at TRD is a buddy of his, so I asked if he could get us a break on the SC, and he said he might be able to swing it. So I asked for 20 blowers at $1700 a pop.
He said he would e-mail me when he got an answer. Understand its not like this guy is some big hauncho at TRD. He's just asking for us, so this might not happen, but its worth a shot. Also he said the parts have to be sold through a dealership, so it would probably go through Schaumburg toyota here in Illinois, they are big on TRD there. Anyway, I'll let you know as soon as he e-mails me.

i've also written some emails to online sellers at ebay, the guy that's selling SC with starting bid of $1750. ofcourse it always ends up being higher than that but ppl ARE getting their SC for around $1900-$2000. which is still less than dealer cost.

Hello Ray,
>
>Yes we would be interested in this group buy. Could you fill me in with details. Would you have them all sent to one place or to each individual owner? Let me know this and your time frame, it may take a little to secure 20 at once.
other dealers are not able to match the price..im' still waiting for some of their responses.

_right on_
To make it easier on them Ray, I would suggest that you have them all shipped to one spot. It'll save them hassle and cash, and will make them more likely to give you/us a price to die for.
I'd suggest our neck of the woods, since I think that at least 4-5 people on the list are local. Though there is the one Toyota dealer that was looking to get them cheaper.
None-the-less, I don't mind pitching in and helping repackage them to ship out. fwiw, I've got a LOT of experience in packing things safe and well.

I stopped in and talked to my contact at Davis Toyota in Pittsburgh today. He said he would talk to his regional TRD guy and see what he could come up with. He also signed up as a YT member today! I've known alot of these guys from Davis when it was Krebs for many years. The Runner is my 3rd Toy - all serviced by these guys. In a land of dealers getting a bad rap, Davis truly shines. They'll ship stuff too...

Not to offset this post but a "?"
I thought I heard someone say that they have already upgraded to a higher perf. tranny cooler. How noticable is an upgraded cooler over a factory one? Fifty bucks sounds like a cheap mod for what sounds like a nice product. I will never upgrade to a SC even as much as ive heard Ray talk about getting one because its just not my thing next to funding. Although the tranny cooler would be if it has a good plus side. besides cooling the tranny is it a better flow or even cooler fluid temp issue or what. Just curious.

Hey yota members--brand new guy here.
Yes, I'm in for a group buy on a trd supercharger.
I sold my newer F150, bought a runner, and now some extra money is burning a hole in my pocket. Lots of mods planned, but #1 is some more power, so yeah, I'm in!

I'm definitely teetering on the edge or being in. I don't have the money on hand but if I can get rid of the MT/R's from my old runner and a set of 15" subs I've got (fat chance), then I will be. I'm going to get working on that right away.

Does anyone know what price the dealership really pays for a supercharger?
I made a phone call to mine and he said he pays $2,400. That can't be right. He said selling price to me....$2,585.
Sorry I can't be of any help getting a deal for the group. You guys have much better connections than I do.
