Also did you take out the bump stops that were in the factory rear coils? I left mine in and need to check for sure but I think they are keeping me from getting full flex.

OHHHH rubbing issues well I went from those oversized 285's rubbing the a arms which only rubbed a bit and left a light mark on the tire, like if you rubbed it with steel wool just ever so lightly. Over time I could see this being a problem so I did some research and found that Toyota has a Lug centric design and as long as you stick with a semi to high quality wheel spacer "well balanced" you might be ok. SO again research ,,,,, and then found that Marlin had some inchworm had some both were $80-$100 and I didnt have quite enough so I went to my trusty friend EbaY and found some for $69 a set plus $10 for shipping ordered away and 3 days later had some heavy duty chinese made aluminum wheel adapters. Installed the wheel adapters in about an hour and whoosh she just got a bigger stance yeah I though the Bytch is bad that was short lived now instead of rubbin g the freakin a arms they rub the fenders ˟˟˟˟ I thought will I ever get through this? Then decided F it I will be getting a new bumper soon and it wont rub anymore oh and I will have to hammer a bit in the fender well by the firewall but just the smallest amount.

I already have TJM so I guess I should go to town on the front wheel well pinch weld. I may just do a set of rims also w 4" BS. Then I know I will not have any issues.what size spacers did you get?

I'm usually not a fan of super huge tires, but those look perfect in my opinion. I'm surprised they dont rub more, and that it can still get full flex. I would definately consider getting this lift if I could afford tires that size. I dont think it would look right with anything less

I've been looking into the OEM lift package from Sonoran Steel, and I was wondering which one is installed on the 4runner in the pictures. Is it the one with the "Rubicon Express Super Flex Joint lower links" or without? If I can get that much articulation without the extra $400, that seems like the way to go.

I wish I was that creative with photoshop but it is just a normal snapshot from my digital camera. It is amazing to see the size difference from a distance like that. I believe he has since put 285 BFG MT's on instead of those swampers and the lift uses the normal stock links not the rubicon express ones. My truck unfortunately is still stock height though I did take the running boards off at least! Some day.....

Just a sec! where you are mistaken is it will sit a bit wierd. I used 1" worth of bamachem spacers the hard plastic type to make it more level. so the rear sits .5 to .75 inches higher. when I initially installed the rear I didnt have the top out spacers in my hans yet so I went on and installed the front lift, which looked super crazy kinda like a drag car, then once the top out spacers were in it was all good. I run 285 BFG AT's as dress shoes and 285 Interco SSR's as the combat boots. Which with a little help from the forum the Interco's are around 33.9" in diameter and I still run into clearance issues but they fit and you can wheel em. I did add a 1" hub adapter the billet aluminum kind to push the wheels away from the upper a arms. so as they wont rub any more.

Well the SS kit does come with spacers and I bought all this before the SS kit was on the market granted most everything came from Steve anyway . As far as get the chopped a arms, well I was in a bind with my nearly 34" SSR's rubbing the a arms I shopped for a day and ended up with the hub adapters, Im happy with them they dont cause any wierd balancing or anything and the bolts stay snug. I have no use for the 315 seeing as how for all my adventures I plan on running what I have now. My fuel economy is good not great but good when running the AT's the ecenomy is ok when running the SSR's but even with the SSR's I still get better mileage than my friends and there huge LandRover Disco's on 285's. But like any post will read its all in what your into and plan on doing, me ;;; I plan on cross country adventures on and offroad. hope to hook up with Pangea Expeditions shortly.

I e-mailed steve about using two half inch top out spacers. He said the CV angles would be way to extreme. How are your CV angles at normal driving and full droop?

So Aaron, just out of curiosity, what was your stock fuel economy and what is it now? I've been thinking a lot about a lift like this, but if I do then I want bigger tires, bigger tires take away power, so I should supercharge it too.... but then in the end I'm just wondering what my milage is gonna be like. I'm kinda enjoying my 20.5 mpg average right now
