Steering Wheel shakes as I turn
Well, thanks again for the help. I was able to replace my front brake assembly from all the help on this forum. Need more help. I have 1994 4X4 4runner.
Awhile back my steering wheel and entire truck would shake as I pressed the brake pedal. I resolved my problem by tightening the star wheel in the back plate of my drum so that I would only get 4 clicks as I pull on my e-brake, replaced my caliper because it would bind on my rotors, replaced rotors and brake pads.
Driving to Las Vegas from LA I noticed that the steering wheel now shakes as I turn. At times the steering wheel shakes as I am driving straight. It is very slight, but noticeable. The brake issue is resolved but now the steering wheel shakes as I turn without the brakes applied. When I press on the brakes, it works great and it stops the truck straight and true. Could I have installed the rotor incorrectly and it is loose? I installed the hub assembly as tight as I could using pliers. Honestly, I could not tell how tight to put on the nuts on to the axel to hold the rotor in place. What are your thoughts?

i nsaying you installed the hub as tight as you could... are you talking about the axle nut? of you are and you have 4x4 hubs.. that nut is too tight... it should be just a little more then handtight....
