Looks good, but are you ever going to use it? And this is off topic, but are you going to sas your 4runner when you convert it to 4wheel drive?

That looks pretty sick man. I've always liked how the snorkels make an offroad vehicle look.
One question though. In order to through water that deep what else do you have to do? Sealing stuff....extend front diff breather....etc?

Water proof electriconics, electric fan, seal up doors better, diff+transmission+transfer case breather extensions.

I think a lot of people put these snorkels on and never really use them. I know as much as I like exploring I would have a hard time submerging my vehicle enough to warrant a snorkel.

Do you think having a snorkel significantly cuts down on dust intake? If the dust cloud in that pic was even slightly bigger you would be sucking in dust like a hoover.

Henry you do realize, that the snorkel's primary purpose is silt induction? not water, water is just another benefit.
also a precleaner perfects the use of it with the cyclone effect, look at austrailian rigs with the big round top to the snorkel, that is the precleaner.
as soon as I get everything siliconed, im going to wrap my electric wiring into poly sleeving and then im going to install an electric fan, cap off any holes that arent needed and extend breathers into cab for shifters, case, tranny, and diffs.

good to know, i may get a precleaner later but dunno if ill need it
best way for me to test, is to open or close deckplate down a really nasty gravel road.

i just installed mine yesterday. OMG the hardest part was putting on the airtube to attach to the stock tubing, we had to half way unbolt the fender to get the rubber tube on, but it works now. Sounds different when running and when your underload, thats when you can really hear it suck.

I put the snorkel in while one of my friends was helping me build a front bumper, here is day one on the bumper, and i got the snorkel done in the same time.
Sorry no pictures of the connection and half way removing the fender, i was too mad at the snorkel to take some pics.
The snorkel makes some cool sounds when you rev it and when you drive.
