Should i trade it or keep it

I just got a 98 4runner sr5 with 150,000 miles on it. Should i trade it in for a newer 3rd generation 4runner with less miles. Because im going to put all new susppension and trires on it and itll break down....any body have trucks with over 150K

if you plan on divin it for a while casue they will last forever if you take care of it and baby it keep it but if not go with the newer one

150,000 on a '98? That's about 25,000/year, the same as what I put on my 'yotas. My guess is that it was a lot of highway. What do YOU expect to put on it? I've had 4 Toyotas with over 150,000 miles on the engines including 2 that went well over 200,000. Like jtm994 said, if it was taken care of it has at least another 150,000 to go. I'd run it for a few years and see how you feel then.

i agree. 190K on my 96. the only thing you have to worry about is taking care of regualar/basic maint.

wowza, I don't feel so bad at 125k - I bought my 4r almost 2 years ago and it turned over 100k on the way home.

i had an '82 corolla wagon that did 220k before some dumbarse teenager ran it too low on oil !!!
