Same drum size between 15" and 16" wheels?

So I've been fighting a wicked tire balancing issue (as confronted by many others)... So after 6 re-balances at 3 different shops (2 indys, 1 dealer), I am concerned that I may have other suspension related issues.

To rule out the tires and rims, my buddy is willing to let me borrow his 2000 Tacoma to swap his wheels/tires onto my truck. I'm not 100% sure, but I think he has 15" rims (15" was the standard size, correct?). My 02 Sport has 16" wheels.

So my question is this...if the Taco has 15" wheels, will they fit over the drums on my 4Runner so I can do a road test? I did a quick search on Napa and there are shared part numbers between the two, but I want to make sure.

As always thanks for the info,

Chris

Not worried about the front....the vibration I'm chasing is in the rear. So I'm only looking to swap out the rear tires.

Just did a caliper conversion from 16-15....the 15's will fit over the drums in the back no problem.

Thanks Jay, good to know. FWIW, I finally found a local shop that has a Hunter road force balancer and the adapter to properly balance my tires and that seems to have solved most of my rear vibration issues. All 4 tires passed the road force, but they found all 4 tires to be out of balance -- surprise, surprise.

Next up are the shocks (maybe the complete SS 3.0 system) and hopefully that will smooth out the constant bounce over the smallest bumps.

Thanks again!
