When I purchased my truck listed below in my signature the PO had a Aftermarket alarm system in it. I hate it and want to go back to the Factory Remote Keyless if possible. I contacted Toyota and they pulled the VIN and stated that there is no mention of Remote keyless for my truck from the factory??? I thought that SR5 and power windows and locks meant that it should come with remote keyless. Someone also suggested that I just try to find the Relay for the keyless to see for myself if it had it from the factory. Does anyone know where this relay is located?

ohh yeah, i'm still stumped on this question too for my 98 limited runner. It obviously doesn't have the alarm system. All i want is the keyless entry. I cant seem to find the relays and it appears that i dont have it installed, however from few sources says that limited runners do have them from factory.

I hear you man I dont believe that I have the Alarm and I dont really care for the alarm but the Factory Keyless would be nice for sure. I am not to sure where to look either for the relay. I have heard from another source that it is built into the ECU but I am not sure. You could try this since it is closer to your year http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/1st...02-tacoma.html

btw that's a tacoma thread lol. i just reread my post, i ment to say i have 4runner and dont have a tacoma prerunner lol.
