recalled 3.0's=warped heads/deck
i ran a search, no one seemed too sure.
does anyone know if the recalled 3.0's for the headgaskets end up with warped/cracked heads or block (assuming it has never over heated)
has anyone with a non-recalled 3.0 had the repair covered under warranty?
thanks

When my truck had the recall done at 100k the headgasket was not blown. I ended up getting a new shortblock because the old block was scored when they took it apart from collant getting under the headgasket. I think the problem was just the headgaskets themselves.

i have a late 95 model with the v6. it wasnt covered under the warranty because apparently they fixed it before they put out the last few of those 3.slow motors. well, apparently the fix wasnt good enough because the dealership charged me $2659 to replace the head gasket and to work on the motor to get it back to how it should be. they replaced a lot of ˟˟˟˟...
