rear shock mount question
i am replacing my stock rear shocks w/ some bilsteins. where do the rear shocks mount to on the top? i havent really looked into it, but do i have to unbolt the rear shocks from the inside of the trunk?

No, the top mounts are below the rear deck. Good luck, taking off those bolts really sucks - but it can be done. I don't know how anyone does it without a BL. My 1" BL helped me out a lot.

It sounds like taking off the rear shocks on any 4runner is a pain in the arse!

Mine were so rusted I had to get up in there with a sawzall and cut the original shocks off. PITA!

I had read a lot of the "horror" stories before doing mine. Once I got in there to do it, it was really no big deal, granted it never rains SoCal. I used a strap wrench to turn the shock body and used an open ended wrench on top to hold the nut. Oh yeah, no body lift either.
