Really upset!!!
I contacted ARB about purchasing a winch mountable bull bar from them for my 88 Runner. They got back to me and told me that I would have to buy one, then have someone with fab skills fab me up some mounts to accomodate my body lift!!!! WTF...Yeah..like I'm going to spend all that money for an ARB bull bar only to have to spend MORE money to have somebody do more to it!!!!
Does anyone have any suggestions besides what I'm already going to do, which is just have someone custom fab me a whole ARB look-a-like? (which by the way I'm going to trade the chevy 305 sitting in my garage that was going to go in my truck for it...lol)

He he, you beat me to it.
Here are a ton more pics I took at Badland's shop.
http://www.pnw4runners.net/badland_bumpers/
His tube style bumper can be made to fit a body lift, in fact all of his bumpers can.
Out of all his bumpers, the new tuber job is my fave, and I'd get it if I did not have the ARB.
You will see seafarinman's red truck on Jeff's site.
Here is a sneak preview of the tube one.
That is Sea's rig.
Jeff the owner is a hardcore rock crawler here in the PNW, and he builds his stuff to work.

Go local and go custom. There is no reason to bugger up a perfectly good ARB and potentially compromise it when you could have something much better for almost the same cost.
Try BudBuilt or some other local East Coast guys, try to make a road trip out of it if you can. That way you make an acquaintance and help out a fellow wheeler.

psst....SECRET! SHHH!
I can't believe it. I was over at badland bumpers on Friday because my buddy, let's call him WANNABE Toyota owner was getting some rocksliders fabricated for his 97 FORD exploder 2WD, and possible a custom modification to his grill guard to add a winch plate. Anyways, Jeff had a picture of a late model Ford Ranger that he has built one of the tube bumpers for. And low and behold, the exploder is there for the sliders as well as the front tube bumper. Jeff was building a tube bumper for a 2001+ Tacoma with a BODY LIFT, using his blue Tacoma as a platform for someone that is on the East Coast. He mentioned that shipping was like $180 if I recall correctly. I think that you should go for one of his bumpers. I have them front and back on my rig. They are beautiful and strong.

Just sent an E-mail
Actually...I just sent them an E-mail asking how much the Tube bumpers were. It didn't say on the site. It gave how much the other bumper styles were but not for the tube style. But I was deffinately considering dealing with them.

If you get one, pay the extra for the powder coating.
I had mine powder coated last October after taking them off for a few weeks.
The job is up to par with ARB's powder coating.
After washing the rig yesterday, I have no nicks in the powder coat on the sliderz.
The guy who Jeff hooked up with does a great job for painting them.
This is from yesterday.

I thought there would be a few nicks from rocks flying up from the winter, but I could not find any.

Yes, I have a front tube winch bumper with the shackle mounts in addition. You also get a free ball cap with a front bumper. So mine was as follows:
Tube bumper- $450.00
Shackle mounts(2)-$ 30.00 (optional)
Shackles(2)- $ 16.00 (optional)
Powdercoating- $ 65.00
Shipping- $ .00 (I live 1 1/2 hours from his shop)
$561.00
I am getting a roll cage next!!!

Word travels fast about Jeff's shop.
I found him Last May from the links on www.wattora.com
I had him fab me some sliderz, and posted pics on the forums.
Next thing Jeff was getting orders for his sliderz clear back East.
This was before he was even setup for delivery.
Now he has a semi that will come by the shop and take his stuff away for him.
