Question for ATV owners,

Do ATV/4 Wheelers use a 12V electricals system, that is to say, could I use lights made for an ATV on my 4Runner without too much grief? Thanks,

Lamm

Not sure why you would want to(no better at vibration then any other off-road lights)but they are both 12v.

WARN makes a set of lights that are just the size and mounting style I need for good AUX backup lights but they are marketed for ATV headlights. They are only $50 so I think I will get some. Thanks!

I used to have a little Honda four wheeler and it ran off a small 6v battery. It was pritty old ('84) and very small 125cc. I bet that some of the newer larger ATV's run 12v batteries, but honestly couldn't say for sure. You should just call up a local motorcycle shop and see if they have any idea.

Newer quads are 12 volts. No problem running quad lights as long as they are 12 volts. Quad lights probably draw less current because the quads electrical system is not adequite to run high current auto lights.

Trail Tech .com makes all really cool billet light housings. They even have some really cool H.I.D lights that draw halh the watts but twice the light.
I have some on my 01 Raptor they made huge diffrence. Standard bulbs the offer 25 watt to 100 watt, the H.I.D's they offer only in 80 watt(they olny draw around 40 watts). They al so have some other cool stuff.
