Prodigy H/T tire opinions
Even tho I have plenty of tread on my tires, they are old and dry rot. Traction sux too. I'd love to get the geolanders but at $150 per I need to find a lower cost tire. The Prodigy tire is a Discount tire direct item that is made by Yokohama and sells for $115. So the question I have for the forum is, how good are these tires? I am a diehard Yokohama fan but have never heard about these Prodigy tires before. The last thing I want is a noisy tire and I don't off road the truck so mud traction isn't a big concern.

I had a pleasant surprize today at Discount tire. I took the T4r in to have the tires siped to buy me some time before replacing my Wranglers. The tires have 8/32" tread left and seemed to be okay except for the lousy wet traction that almost caused an accident last week.
When the tire guy looked at the tires he noticed tread separation happening at the sidewall on all 4 tires. Now understand, these Wranglers are from 1995. He tells me that they can give me a credit towards new tires even if I didnt buy them from Discount tire. Long story short I jumped at the chance to get new tires at nearly half off the regular price. I ordered Yoko Geolander HTS all around, for an out the door price of $425.
How could I say no?
