is this rust something that should concern me?

I personally wouldnt think so being its only on the weights. Check around the lug nuts though. If there is rust there you should have the torque checked on them. Blue

i wouldnt be worried about it either...........if you wanna get crafty you could mask off the wheel around the wheel weights and spray paint em so they dont look rusty anymore

Is it on the weight, or on the rim? Can you get us a closer picture, preferably a jpg? It's not uncommon for weights to cause a chemical reaction with alloy wheels and leave a "stain" behind. That's why some people specifically ask for the weights to be put on the inside of the wheel. It appears that this is what you're experiencing - but it's hard to tell without a better picture.

The rust on the wheel weights is nothing to worry about at all.
