I don't know if the motor itself has a mast too large or if the black rubber mast cap and silver nut that goes on top, are just too small. But the cap and nut don't fit around the mast thread.

I think the power antenna motor/mast are a used item sourced from eBay but it's been so long that I can't remember for sure.

Anyone know of an all-in-one kit of various black rubber caps and silver nuts that would fit the 4runner antenna hole? A kit with different sizes so I can be sure that one or the other fits my existing mast thread?

Have you looked at the aftermarket sound system places.

I know of no kits but have no electric antennas they got replaced when they failed.

take a trip to your local yard and get all the different sizes you can you might get lucky.

I think there might be different sizes based on years, but i don't know how the breakdown falls.
My new to me '99 had a broken mast. The PO bought a replacement toyota mast that came with the sale. I went thru everything in the FSM to release the old mast, no problem. But when I went thru feeding the new one in, it got sucked in mostly but then seemed to be too big for the tube of the motor housing causing it to bind, grind, and break.

Now I'm looking to replace the whole thing as a unit from my parts vehicle.
