I'm slowly wearing her down. We went to 4x4 Connection in Winchester Saturday. She thought it was pretty cool. As long as it's our "nice" vehicle, I won't be able to do too much to it, but I can tell she's interested in some of the things I want to do.

I raced for one season in the Sport class, but quit because I got tired of being beat by Expert level racers unwilling to move up to the proper class.
I don't ride much anymore. This past year and half has been busy (got married, bought a house, etc). I went from 50miles a week to 20miles a year.
BTW, Bridgestone was a cool brand. Their bikes are really well made. The owner had some interesting ideas regarding technology and bikes, but you can't deny they made a good product.

Specialized makes some good bikes. Unfortunately, they make them just like everyone else, with NORBA type geometry (73degree seat and 71degree head angles with 11" BB and longer top tube). I prefer the old "eastern woods" approace, which is somewhere in the range of 73.5/72.5 12" BB and shorter top tube. It doesn't sound much different until you ride it. It's like the difference between a Suburu Outback and a 4Runner offroad.
Now that Cannondale has dropped their "Beast of the East" model, Klein is the only non-custom bike that fits this description.
Ewww, this started to sound like I'm ragging Specialized. I'm not. Just pointing out how they aren't making the type of bike I want.
