more lift??!- help plz

ok i want to lift just the front of my truck more not the rear.... i have a 94 pickup and i justy found out i have the total chaos kit on it...the truck also has bodylift it looks to be 2 inches but im not sure ....i was wondering what i could do to get more lift? it has some crappy ugly white rancho shocks dunno what kind, but them seem old anyways... if i changed them to other ones is there a way to get like bigger ones for more lift or something... or what other possible things can i do.. any help is appreciated , - steve

hey steve...
do you have manual or automatic hubs or your truck? you can always crank the torsion bars for a cheap lift but if you have automatic hubs it is much harder on your CVs which means more wear and tear...you can get about 2 inches out of your bars but your suspension will bottom out easier on your bump stops....but just rememebr that this is a simple fix

If its 2WD theres no need because there isn't a front differential.

But about the lift, there are tons of things you can do. Suspension or body would be your first thing to decide, and since you already have around a 2" BL then I would just say go for suspension...course I've never really seen the point in the lifting a 2WD too much since by the time you get in situations where you need that much lift you'll be in some deep chit but it does look cool.

Anyway, ProComp makes a 4" suspension lift that has shocks with it if your interested in getting rid of the Ranchos and there are tons of other options too.

It really all depends on what you want to end up doing with your rig.

the total chaos kit long travel is a good kit and actually considering, it is one of the best kits out there..... i have done my research on 4x2s, being a 1985 lifted 4x2 myself....what are your plans for the truck? what tire size do you want to run... that is going to determine how much lift you will need and what is available.... downey is a great company and i will have a good amount of their stuff under my rig before i call it done.... right now i have 4" spindles and a 3" bodylift clearing 31s... i could probably go bigger but wont right now.... my plans eventually on top of what i have now are: 35s, 3.5" long travel arms from downey, strut frame from downey, idler arm brace, 4.88s, and a locker, soa ..and just refinement of other things/maintenance items as well as bumpers/rear hitch
