looking to buying my first 4x4 Toyota

After years(20 years) of 2wd trucks. I started looking for a 4wd one just because. Are there any problems with the 4wd drivetrain?? Is there anything I should look for? I figure with the budget I have I would like to go with the 91-94 years, 4 or 6 cyl. Thanks guys...Keith

i think i would stay away from the v6 since they have a headgasket problem, thats what ive heard, correct me if im wrong. the 22re are pretty easy to work on and are pretty reliable. im looking for a truck myself, seen a few nice ones but they come with a nicer price tag, a little out of my budget right now.

Nice 96 Tacoma 4x4

I have a nice 96 toyota tacoma 4cyl, 4x4 for sale. asking $6900 it is in great condition and has always been babied. There is 5.5" of lift on it with 31x12.50x15 ProComp Xterrains. (LOOKS SWEET). only 113,000 miles. Never had a single problem with this truck and I run amsoil lubes and keep it very clean. Has never been off road. I want to get a 04. If interested I am at BigDen__@webtv.net
Thanks,
