Lightforce 170's are on! Time for a night run!!

Just got these mounted and wired up last night.

Of course I had to go with the factory switch:

They are so bright! They outshined the KC Daylighter 130watt lights my friend has. The adjustable focus is great also, I plan on getting the combo wide/spot filter to get the best of both worlds. Anyone know where to get a good price on these? I've found $14.95 for combo filter & $12.95 for standard colored filters.
So now the question is who's ready for Carvacre trail at night?

Nope, they use 100 watt xenophot bulbs.

Price wise, I got mine for $187 (with free shipping) and yellow filters for $13/each from Central4WD (http://www.central4wd.com/store/brandlist.asp?ID=7167).

They're very nice lights.

(yes, I'll try to get some pictures)

Probably a dumb question... Can you use an existing 12v relay on those lamps? I guess I'm wondering if I can just swap lamps from an old set of Hella 500s.

My electrical knowledge is definately lacking!

Looks great! Same light I want for my rig. Let us know what you think when you get the different filters.

Probably... just try it out. If anything, you'll just be out a relay ($5).

You might wanna upgrade the wires to something a little thicker, though.

They look great, but 240's would have looked better:

You are going to love how well they perform.

Gawd! I had a passing thought about getting the 240's, but they're just HUGE!

(got any issues with getting airflow to the radiator? )

I haven't had any problems with it over heating. The temp gauge stays in the same position as always (not that it means anything). It ran fine all last summer.

Cool.. I was asking more tongue-in-cheek, but it's good to know.

That's cool, we could do some of the close trails,Carvacre, Hanglider. Just set aside at least 2-3 hours, that should be easy enough. If we just do Hanglider only 1-1.5 hr needed. Let me know when you're getting here and we can hook up somewhere. I'm open for whenever you can go.

Oh yeah his disappeared once I turned mine on. They were also a bigger spot on the wall than his, even set on beam instead of fog pattern.
