Lift Question

Tried using the Search, but could'nt find any answers. I am planning to get a 05 V8 SE and was wondering:

1) How long I should wait before I install a lift? I would assume after the break in period? Or ~ 1000 mi?

thanks,

Ken

you can install it anytime, it doesn't affect the break in at all

yup, Joe's exactly right - you can lift as soon as you want, it has no effect on the engine break-in.

On a related note, when I use the spring compressors, is there a tool that will make the job easier? I know an air gun would do the trick, but what about a 18v cordless drill with an attachment? What are your thoughts???

kenn, if you need help there are plenty of members here that will not have any problems helping you out. just buy your goodies and then post up a thread requesting for some help on a given day and i'm sure ppl will lock to you. "wrenchathon in irvine, ca" should sum it up prep for some grub and ppl will come... mmm food!

power/air tools rock but hand tools will do too.

good luck

Yup, and sometimes the area will be tight enough that you might find hand tools fit better!

good luck

What he said!
Host a wrenchathon and I just might be able to make it... I spend a good amount of my weekends in Irvine.
