aside from some silly comments from a few posters... I second the advice here... google will be a much better resource. I searched this place a ton before joining, and while I never searched for threads on lowering a 4runner, or body kits, the only thread about either topic I ran into is the thread that is pictured above (the 4runner with the volks). I don't think this forum is the best place to look... just a thought. However, if I find a link or a thread, I will update my post here.

Definitely not for Toyotas. Domestics, however, is a whole different ballgame...

Thanks Whitey, exactly what I was looking for. And sorry for not wanting to put big tires and a lift on my 4Runner that I would never use, it's my daily driver and I'm not into off-roading. I got the 4runner because it was given to me and I totalled it and got another one because I found it very reliable and I grew to like them very much. Sorry for those who I offended for asking if there was a body kit, I just want bumpers that are paintable I don't like the chrome, didn't think it was a big deal

don't worry about all the people getting exited over this. You should see if anyone is interested in trading you painted bumpers for you chrome ones. Some people like chrome as opposed to paint and visa versa. good luck on your search!

Redsox1... There are a few members on YT that have more of a
street queen look to their 4Runners. Most, if not all, are 3rd gens like yours.
Unfortunately, none of those member have posted in this thread yet.

Honest to God truth, 99.9% of the members here have
4 wheel drives and this may not be the best site for your interests
in terms of exterior modifications. However, it would be wise of you
to keep YT in mind for such things as exhaust and engine mods, which
are pretty much universal and are very popular here.

There's been a lot of negativity on this forum as of late and I'm just
trying to keep new members from getting the wrong impression.

^^^ Hey, don't be sorry man, as long as you've got a Toyota, you're welcome here (I guess as long as it's not a car, not counting the celica's that came with 22-RE's)

This place is a great source of info, even if it's not for off-roading. There are plenty of write-up's and faq that have nothing to do with 4wd.

^^^x2 It's been getting bad lately, but at least he didn't ask about an HID kit, this thread would be 10x longer and 10x worse by now.

I don't think that Tofer said or did anything wrong, he was merely trying to point the guy in the right direction for what he asked. He might have included "predominantly" before "offroad forum", but that's about it.

I think some people on here just need to chill out and smoke some green stuff or something. ---> ---> --->

Everyone is entitled to their opinion... people just have a problem with others doing things different than the norm.

This site is pretty cool... if you can read Japanese. I use Google to interpret the page. http://www.shuei.co.jp/shopping/exterior/exterior.html

Here are some pics

Enjoy!

Exactly..... I think its great to see different, creative ways to customize 4Runners. Everyone has their own style. I dig that red one above!!!

As you can tell there isn't a forum for ONLY those who enjoy driving on asphalt more than off-road. I enjoy this forum for the knowledge of the toyota vehicles and the often hilarious banter of others complaining of their own bigotry and myopia.

If I were you I wouldn't get a body kit. I'm not going to tell you to lift your truck or anything, but just don't put a body kit on it. I'm into the import car scene and body kits have been out since probably the millenium. So unless you want everyone calling your 4runner a rice rocket I'd stay away from them. Now a days it's all about having a 'clean car,' lowered, carbon fiber, lips, HIDs, JDM parts, intake/exhaust, nice rims (not chrome, save the chromies for the homies!) with low profile tires etc. But if you still want a body kit do it right, don't go cheap on it, you'll expect about $2000 for a good body kit that is thick enough (cheaper body kits bend and break to easily). Plus don't forget about paint! Just trying to help, I'd tell a close friend the same thing...

I tried looking for body kits from a few brands I can think of, but c-west, wings west and veilside don't make anything for 4runners
