instro panel problem.
On my 85 4runner i have 2 problems with the introment panel.
one is the gas guage is always at full. Probably the sending unit but when that goes doesn't it always say empty?
Second when it is cold the tach doesn't work until i get the engine heated up?
And advice or help would be accepted.
Thanks

Hi,
I can't comment on your fuel gauge problem, but I had the same issue with the delayed tach function on cold mornings. What I did was cleaned up all of the connections on the ignition coil with cleaner and then lightly sandpapered both sides of all of them for a nice shiny connection. I believe the tach gets its signal from the negative side of the coil and I'm pretty sure it's a green wire, I can't remember.
