Hi Newbie here. Help Stuck Axle Hub on 97 4x4.

Im just new to this forum and love my new purchase of a 97 4runner limited 4x4.
I bought it last month with bad tires and they were all worn due to my wheel bearing in the front passanger side. It is shot! Im tearing into it but am having the hardest time getting off the axle hub. If anyone can help Id be very happy and I could drive the thing again.
Thanks
Matt

Welcome to the board.

I don't know what part you're having trouble with, but I would guess it's the cone washers. Search YotaTech for "cone washers" or "manual hubs" and you might find some previous threads that have the info you need.

If it is the cone washers, the easiest way I found to get them out is to back the nuts off the studs so that they're flush with the ends of the studs. Then beat them with a hammer and a drift/punch/block of wood, whatever you have available.

Yup BFH Worked for me. Just pound the side of the hub and the cone washers pop out.
