i know les schwab in my area uses them i saw them sitting on the balancer yesterday and i was wondering what they were for, now i know.

The local Discount Tire in Muskegon MI has it. But I had to remind them to use it after I left and went 1/2 mile down the road & came back after getting the Hankook RF10's. Felt like kind of an A-Hole telling someone else how to do their job and why it needs to be done that way, but ya know...

Rides smooth as butter now! I thought I had a bad driveshaft or U-joint, but it was just bad tire balancing from the previous owner.

It's called a finger plate. Next time, ask the Discount to use it. We use it all the time at work, but it's a PITA and most people don't notice the slight vibration. Ask them to use the finger plate and they will.
