IMO it's a girlie thing to care. My wife says white letters in, I don't care.

I am off to turn-off the auto email notice.

I can't decide....left side letters out, right side, letters in. The best of both worlds!

if you are proud of the name on the side, show it off, like BFG all terrains, they look so much better with the white lettering out. My tires now are black out, but that's how i bought it. When I get new ones, i will go with white out

i wheeled my bfg muds all day and night for 40k and a bottle of bleachwhite or whatever they call it kept those letters clean and bright until i took them off my truck! now with the new nittos there is no white so i didnt have a choice, but im a white out on bfg muds, anything else, white in!

yay for old thread revival!

Wow! , all the excuses for not having white out has really been lame! I wheel in mud, rocks and slop all the time and have no problem keeping them clean. Just use a high pressure hose and some "Mean Green" from the dollar store and they look new again. Some people say it's old fashioned to have the letters out. If you feel you have to follow the fashion crowd then go for it, but I'll do my own thing thank you,Lol. Mike

I am 19, and I don't think it is an age thing.

I love white letters out.

But thats just my opinion, some trucks it looks great others it doesn't it all depends on the rig, the style of the rig, and the tire...

How old is "OLD?" I'm 31 and definitely like the white out (in a good tire). On the street rig, put it inside. I think you should be able to see the lettering on stock car tires and beefy off-road tires. I suppose that's old school. I do think it's hilarious when people buy a $49 "ALL TERRAIN" tire and put the white lettering out. Then again, it's not about the money, it's about the wheeling.
p.s. excellent thread resurrection!

Or you have figured out what a white out marker was really made for! Guys I know used to use em on their Maxis tires for race quads every so often.

I like white out as long as you don't have crappy tires. I was one of the first people to sport the Cooper STTs so I run em' white out. Next treads will be BFG AT, white out.

Good choice. My first set of BFG tires I had white out. They always looked bad because they were dirty. Now it's always black out. How about some pictures?
