Front Breather Mod

Well, I just did the front breather mod on my runner, It was a pain in the ace . First I ordered the 90 degree union (part # 90904-04001) from Toyota, How the hell are you supposed to get that on??? I gave up on that and bought a barbed fitting from Ace Hardware, the threads and size looked perfect, but of coarse they wern't , the barbed fitting was barely bigger (so tiny a difference that you couldn't tell with a naked eye), just enough to not work in the diff. I went to another hardware store no one had a smaller fitting. I had to MAKE it work. I sanded down the threads with emory cloth and then cut them deeper with some little files, it took a while (a few hours) but I got it. I had to cut some of the barbs off to make it fit in that tight space and get the hose on. Finally after hours of frustration I got it finished and now I'm happy

Sorry I just had to vent, and tell all about my accomplishment
