Fan Bracket Assembly, 3.4
Well,
First time posting Tech issue but long time lurker. So hear I am after much frustration. I searched this fan bracket pulley assembly and didn't find anything.
Issue/Problem-
When I turn right I get a rubbing noise/grind from the engine area. This will also come and go as I'm driving down the road.
My thoughts at first-
I thought I might have something loose in the suspension so all was checked and everything looked good. Other than normal things like needing bushings because of age.
Further Inspection-
I was looking through the motor really good and noticed that the pulley that was behind the fan had "play" in it. It is not so bad it is hitting the actual fan bracket yet but you can see it at idle speeds clearly!
Steps taken so far-
I tighten everything up and it was still there (the sound)
Finally took the step to go to Napa and get a new bracket that has the bearing. Well low and behold it was bad right out of the box ( I figured this out after pulling everything apart on my truck to replace it). Short story someone bought it pulled the good one out and returned the old one out of another truck. Seemed like allot of work to me but what ever.
Next issue, I noticed that the inner pulley had a wabble also. Maybe it is not perfect out of the factory but there is no marks on it and it has never been hot to bend it. Do they warp at all? I got a price from Toyota today that was not to bad for both of them. Call it 70 bucks for the pulleys that the belts ride on that bold onto that bracket.
Attached are the pictures for your viewing pleasure.
The red arrow is the problem pulley that has play in it, the blue one is still true and runs strait.
Also, this Napa bracket. What is that trade stamp/logo on this thing. Who makes it?
Just wanted some others input on this before I go and tear it apart again. Should I do the pulleys also at the same time with the bracket?

Find the Aisin (OEM supplier) part number here (Engine cooling fan pulley bracket) and then a little searching for the best price.....
I've had nothing but bad luck with non-Aisin fan brackets...my 0.02.

I like the price from Amazon also. About 100 cheaper than what I got it for at Napa out the door.
I was not liking the casting material used for the one from Napa either. Pop medal crap.
