Exhaust, Shocks and such for a 4Runner, 1996 LTD.
Hey there! Dig the site.
Well my brother is looking at a 1996 4Runner LTD. So I am wondering what is out there for this vehicle. I don't personally have a 4Runner, though I do think they are pretty nice.
Cat-Back Exhaust, preferably Stainless. I have Gibson on my Explorer (no flaming please) which I like but there doesn't seem to be a Gibson for the 4Runner?
Shocks, something less than Rancho5000 or 9000. Does anyone use Gibson VST shocks? They are pretty popular with the Explorer guys for all around use.
Thanks for the help!

The dynomax seems to be the most popular exhaust and I would go with either Rancho 5000's or the Bilstiens for shocks. Just my opinion. Also replace the steering stabilizer while your at it. I believe OME is the most popular.

Welcome to the forum. Always good to hear from new folks.
Bilsteins or KYB's. The Bilsteins seem to be a majority favorite on the forum, but I'm sure "non-Bilsteins" are equally satisfied with their choice. I had KYB's on a '90 4Runner; stiffer than heck, but I liked it like that.
The Dynomax muffler is also popular, but I can't say much since my exhaust is stock.
Use the forums' search engine and you'll most likely end up with more info then you ever expected!

Welcome!
Bilsteins are wonderful shocks, plus they have a lifetime warranty.
As everyone says, use the search function to find what you're looking for as every topic you can think of is here.
Peace.

Well atleast someone in your family has some taste when it comes to cars. Watch carefully what your brother does and learn.
JK. Id go with Borla or TRD exhaust and Bilstein shocks for superior sound and ride.
