EL010 and alternatives---thoughts?

Hey guys,

Even though I don't have a 99 anymore, I was thinking about this while driving this morning for those people affected by TSB EL010:

"What if you installed an aftermarket fuel gauge display so you can get an accurate reading?"

While that's only part of the solution, you could presumably buy the fuel filler neck thing and you might be able to get away with this.

A nice Z-Series gauge from Autometer will cost you less than $80. The parts for the fuel filler neck (i bleieve thats the name of the part) is cheaper than buying all the parts related to the stock fuel gauge sender itself.

Ok, I'm just guessing about the parts costs, but for those of you who've had TSB EL010 done at your cost, what do you guys think about this?

Bob
