Does anyone have an ARB Bull Bar on a 96-04 series tacoma

I have an 03 tacoma that im thinking about getting an ARB Bull Bar for. ARB recommends beefing up the suspension with an Old Man Emu lift kit. I would like to keep the rig stock height because its my daily driver, but the bumper might be to much weight not to reiforce it. If anyone has one of these installed i would love to here your opinion on it.

I am about to put an ARB type bumper on my truck along with a winch. Sagging the front end down is a concern but I am not worried because I put racerunner coilover adjustable shocks on my front end to raise the front and level the truck when I bought it new in 2001. It allowed me to put 32X11.5 tires on the truck and if the bumper weighs the front down you simply use a spanner wrench to crank the front end up a little higher. These coilovers made the truck handle better on and off road by firming up the front end just a little. So I would recommend some adjustable coilover front shocks and you can adjust the front hight just where you want it to be.

Best way to go when putting a ARB bumper with winch on a tacoma/4runner is to go with the Old Man EMU 883 springs.

The 883 springs are not a "stock listed application" for the taco/4runner but fit just fine and because of higher spring rate, they don't sag after a couple of months like hte 882s tend to do.

Also don't forget with any suspension lift in the front to go with a diff drop to save your CV's from excessive angle.

The 883's with a bumper/winch ride really good, IMHO they ride better than stock.

on my 1997 4runner, i have an ARB bumper, and a front receiver hitch... it's about 40lbs lighter than a M8000 winch on an ARB bumper... i run OME881 coils with OME shocks... my wife says it looks stock-ish... and the truck still fits into most garages and parkades as it's 6'3" now... and it handles much much nicer than stock...

my buddy's 2003 tacoma has a M8000 winch and ARB bumper... he has OME882 coils and OME shocks, and it rides a bit over an inch over stock... ride is firm, but much better than stock...

thanks

Thanks to all that responded. I ended up going with the OME 1.75in suspension lift. It sounds like its low enough that it won't mess with my CV boots. All keep you all posted.
