divorce

I love yodatech, but is there any way we can split up the 4runner forums into a general and have individual years so that poeple can get more specified information on there truck.

Comments, Concerns, Counseling?

Counselling...

Sorry to say, I disagree.
IMHO I like to see what others are doing with 1st and 3rd gens, even though I own a 2nd. As well, I like to see what other members are riding in. So, as much as you may like focus, I like variety

I agree with Blair. Alot of the info crosses the generation gap. You can always use the search function for specifics on 2nd Gen stuff. That's what I do.

What I have seen some forums do is have a list of all the posts evey posted in a certain topic and then have all the forums sorted out into differnet topics (such as '95 Runners, '94 Runners) at the top.

I'm not sure if I explained it right or not...but...yeah.

I just try to look for what year any given topic or post is about. Its usually easy to tell by reading the topic or signatures of the posters.

I like to read about new junk, old junk and really old junk. Knoledge is power. For people with really old junk like myself that will eventually get newer junk its interesting. I already know about the parts I want and where to get them. I suppose if you already have a nice shiney, newish ride, reading about older trucks would get old quickly.

I suggest just picking and choosing your topics carefully so you don't read too much that really dosen't interest you. I don't see any "Divorce" happening any time soon.

Anything is possible though. If there is an overwhelming mandate from the members to seperate old and newer trucks into seperate forums it would be somewhat possible.

I like it how it is now. I suspect most other readers do also.

Feelings....nothing more than feelings

HA! try to get THAT tune out of your head....

Anyway, mterrizzini...
well thanks for hurting my feelings
...
don't take it personal. On one of my recent post a member refered to my ride as 'junk' (jx94148) which I silently took offense to, briefly. Took me a couple more posts to realize...he calls 'em ALL junk

Stick around, lots to learn here. Most these guys know stuff that spans the generations. read the ones you like, pass on ones you don't. However, even if the subject doesn't relate to your particular like or dislike, there MAY be replies in that thread that DO pertain to your interest and in no time you'll be changing your sig on a regular basis, from 'no mods yet' to Aisins, Locker, Subs, SAWS, SAS, etc...
It's ALL good...

I like the mix and match of the forum.
I see topics that don't apply to me but I still click on because it looks interesting.

Speaking of Toyoda, has anyone ever read this article?

http://www.newsherald.com/articles/2.../lo040102a.htm

Its an old article and I remember reading it a while back, but with all this talk of Toyoda it got me thinking.

Anyway, sorry for veering off topic. Back to our regularly scheduled program..

come on. loosen up. you're among friends. If they did what you suggest, then they would have to section out the Taco, Tundra (if there are any here), and T100 people from here too. Maybe I was too harsh in my words
