diff. drop spacers questions

I've read that many people are using a kit made by revtek.
Where do you get one?

I'm running a mild lift at roughly 1.5" and I am very certain that I am experiencing slight vibrations from the cv shaft angles. I've noticed it more while using 4 wheel drive. I think this diff drop would be a great improvement.

Also, has anyone who has done this mod ran into any problems?
It seems simple but I'm wondering if there are any problems with the front driveshaft between the transfer case and front differential. Would this slight change in angle induce any vibrations w/ u-joints?

Thanks in advance
-Stango

Haha, yep I was just going to post that I got mine from Mike.

Off-subject and don't want to hijack the thread, but....Mike, have you heard anything about polyurethane body mounts for 3rd gens?

So the differential drop spacers lower the axle to reduce the CV angles?

Wouldn't this add some lift, too? Or am thinking about it wrong?

How much Mike? I have a guy offering to sell me a lift but i want to get a diff drop kit too. I don't want to pull a gadget and blow a CV....not picking on Gadget, but he's the most recent one that I know of.

keisur,

I e-mailed both Energy Suspension and Daystar...Daystar said that they're talking about mounts for 3rd gens, but it will be some time till they're out. Still waiting to hear back from ES.

no lift. yes is makes the cv angle less severe.

mertztr,

hopefully they won't want an arm and a leg for them .. while installing my bumper I said to myself "wow, 100k will do alot to these crappy rubber things. I wish I had some new ones to throws in while I'm working on the car." they were pretty dry and cracked.

So what are our options on bushing replacement?

I'd like to do all of mine, with Poly if I can. My roommate just did his truck and it made a huge improvement.

So whats the deal? Anyone have any ideas?

Dan

I would like to replace the tie rod bushings to tighten up the steering, but from what I remember gadget saying, you will feel a lot more feedback from the road in the steering wheel.

BTW, I did do the Revtek diff drop, which I bought through Mike (Xtreme Off-Road), and it was a piece of cake to install. I also managed to get the factory skid plate back on without having to drill any new holes. No more vibrations.

yea, the skid plate thing is why I was holding out. come to find out that the stock one will fit with some "persuasion." So I'm ordering up a set, today hopefully.

Someone may want to try these guys:

I think this is where Roger Brown got a set of body mounts at one point.

Yep, Keisur's list is it, as far as I know.

As far as the skid plate goes, "Persuasion" is right. Mine could be persuaded a little better than it is right now, in fact.

Dave, thanks for that link, I'll check them out. Still haven't heard anything from ES yet.
