Clutch pedal and spring wear....how does yours look?
Decided to replace my clutch pedal spring because of enough sag to keep the cruise control from working occasionally-
and opened up a small can of worms.
New and old parts comparison:
The spring looked like this:
Which made me wonder what the clutch pedal looked like.
Good thing I wondered....
It's a 96 with 205000 miles on it. That spring is a bear and a half to replace. The pedal, much easier.
I'm posting this up as food for thought.....
How does your clutch pedal/spring look?

To me it was much easier to get rid of the problem by eliminating the stock spring and tiny plastic bushing and replace then with a simple factory brake pedal return spring. My combined wear was not quite that bad but bad enough.
