I did the clear corners and bumper lenses. I also put the silver bulbs in that turn amber when lit. I think it looks "cleaner" that way with no orange blur behind it during the day. The box the lenses came in did say for show only, but I think that is just because the company didn't go through the hassle of making them DOT approved.

Can't say whether or not the bulbs show through...I'm running PIAA super white bulbs in my corners.
You should still be able to use stock bulbs with either the clear turn signal lenses or clear corner lenses.
Burtman sells them both. Click the Links below:

If you want to save yourself some money, here's a tip. I've been spraying my factory amber bulbs with silver spray paint and it works great! I found this tip out about 10 years ago and it really does work.

clear corners are the way to go, i have jdm clear corners on mine, and in the states as long as you dont have a blue or red bulb in them then it should be legal, when i lived in the states i put clear corners on my pickup and never got pulled over for it, and i traveled through other states like crazy...

Thanks for the link. So is it pretty safe to say that lights listed for toyota trucks for those years will fit the 4runners?
Also-in case anyone was considering doing the cheap mod of spraypainting their amber bulbs silver, I can tell you that it worked well on my BMW, but doesn't look as good as clear LEDs that light up in amber. Spend the money, and you will be glad you did.
