a/c idle

I own a 88' V-6 3.0 4runner and am experiencing a low idle whenever I turn on the a/c (adrop in the idle of a bout two thousand rpms). I have read other threads that have stated that there is a knob behind the glove compartment, but I found nothing there. I also have heard that it may be my vsv, but I'm not really sure where that is on my 4runner. If anyone has any ideas, I would apriciate your feedback. Aloha

You drop two-thousand RPM's from idle?

I am going to assume you meant 200 RPM's, in which case the idle-up control valve isn't working.

yeah you're right two hundred. Sorry, I'm feeling a bit under the weather. Where is this device located on the runner?
