Beach Talk
Hi all-- I am a newbie to the forum and to 4runners, I purchased my black 99 SR5 runner this past summer. I was always lusting after them for years and finally I got one.
My purpose was daily driving and occasional surf fishing on Long Island & NJ.
Now I don't want to take the truck to the beach 'cause my 'runner is so nice- I am a afraid I will screw it up and diminish its longevity. I want to hold on to this one.
I'd appreciate Anyone who takes their truck on the beach regularly or occasionally to reply to put my fears at rest.
:chicken:
I just luv my truck.
Please Advise
Bill

I have been in sand - lots of it. No problem there. There are a ton of guys that went to Pismo, which is sand dunes at the ocean.
The only thing I would advise is to hose off the entire vehicle - top and bottom - with fresh water. The salt in the air (and especially if you drive through it) will rust out certain parts.
Welcome noob!
