Yea, I'll let my buddy know, He's not in a big hurry. How's the condition of the bumper? I want to go to the Pismo Jamboree because I live so close, but i'll be in Hawaii that week. Also the bob is looking sweet.

Looks good man, getting pumped about putting mine under the knife. Thanks to Brad in TN for prompting the idea I'm getting started on this next summer
I see your frame rails are sticking out a bit. You plan on chopping those flush or incorporating that into some armor mounting? I suggest the latter

Some more pics
Frame rails are gone.
Under there, There's a body mount type deal thats resting on the frame rails..
Should settle back down once I build a tire carrier and get it back in there..

i don't really doubt the new bumer will be stout either way, but it would have been nice to integrate the frame more throughout the bumper, it definitely would have been a rarity for your model. Either way since you are dealing with a shorter frame I would recommend fabbing extended mounts. Build the mounts over more of the frame, this way you'll reduce the tongue weight and have the weight of the bumper more evenly distributed through the frame, as well as help you with the rake.
Props for sure, I've liked your get in and go attitude since you've got the new taco. Looking forward to a finished product

As for the bumper, I do plan on having some good, pretty long mounts going down the frame rails..
What you said makes perfect sense to me..
And
I appreciate that man, IMO these things are easier to lift and mod then the older trucks, (IE struts, instead of BJ spacers )
And have some pretty good aftermarket support, Shes been sucking my money but Im starting to really love the hobby of wheelin and wrenching in general so its all in good fun !!
Thanks man, Ill come up and bob your junk and you can sas my junk.. Kool ?

Thanks buddy !! Still got a but load of metal movin and tacking to do, but it should come out as good as yours (hopefully..)
Oh dang, I forgot about that..
Hmm, Let me save up 8G's and ill take you up on that offer
Get your mind out of the gutter
Logan, Its basically a work in progress.
Im not like most people where I have a whole solid weekend to work on my junk, And if I do well Id rather be wheelin it..
So, With that said, Its a work in progress..
Although, the tire carrier wont be anything too special, Itll basically be a Triangular thing that sits in the bed made out of square tube..
AND TO ALL :
Took some poser ass shots today while waiting for a friend to get off of work..Ill have some better ones tomorrow..
I cant stop staring at it and just giggling like quagmire..
Its kinda odd..
Wheeling + Date in the morning....Wish me luck..

As longs as the tire carrier is functional and you made it, that's all that matters. Its curious to see what you come up with so others can be willing to build they're own instead of buying. Know what I mean?
