Chocolate milkshake.
Last week I started my 4runner, let it warm up, and when I put it into gear it just acted like it was in neutral.. In every single gear I have including 4hi and 4low. Checked the tranny fluid and it was red and normal. Frustrated I took another vehicle and let it sit for 8 hours, than I came back just to try again when it was cold and it shifted into gear and drove just fine. But I only drove like 2 miles and came back and parked it for 4 days. Then I went to try to drive it again it was stuck in first and hard shifted to second, then slipped into neutral. I would rev to 2k rpm and it would act as if I were driving a manual and slowly letting the clutch out and then pushing it back in. Then caught the gear and I quickly parked it. I checked the tranny fluid and it was greyish white slurry on the dipstick. I'm suspecting this is tranny fluid in the radiator mixng with coolant. Is my tranny fried ? Is there hope ?
