Poser Package
Welcome to the Forum.
In addition to the motor, check the tire size that the vehicle came from the factory with.....this can be found on the sticker driver door sill. If one of your vehicles originally came with 235's and the previous owner changed those and put on 31x10.5's then your gearing would be off and this will affect your mpg. It is unusual for the 2wd to get worse mileage than the 4wd because of the additional weight of the 4wd front drive train and transfer case. I'll bet your 4wd originally came from the factory with the larger tires while the 2wd had the 'poser package' of larger wheels added to make it look like an off-road vehicle. David
